Based on Wheat Germ and L-Glutamine Technology, EXERx-LOX helps with optimum breathing and recovery from exercise or hauling to shows. Whenever there’s a nutrition breakthrough backed by hard core research, there’s a good chance Premier Nutrition is behind it. From the start, Premier Nutrition has been committed to bringing you the best in science-based nutrition. We substantiate every ingredient included in our products with independent research from the top experts in the field, and conduct our own field studies on all products before they are officially released. At Premier Nutrition, we are focused on "maximizing your animal’s genetic potential with science based nutrition. We don’t sell someone’s name, we only offer technically advanced products that are formulated to optimize genetic potential. All this scientific know-how is here in Premier’s new formula EXERx-LOX. EXERx-LOX offers a simple solution to help animals stay healthy and breathe right, no matter what type of stress you place on them. Whether exercising your animals to make sure they are in optimum condition, holding to make sure they get in the correct weight class, the constant changing weather, or hauling to and from shows, EXERx-LOX is specifically formulated to help combat these types of stressful situations your show animals face daily. Working with our manufacturing partner, we’ve searched and found the highest quality ingredients available. In fact, we have taken quality to the next level and even using human grade material for one particular ingredient. Next, we have combined all of these high quality ingredients into one precise formula. This is where our extensive research and scientists come into play. Premier Nutrition makes sure you have the right amount of everything from proteins, carbohydrates, wheat germ products, Glutamic acid, Omega fatty acids, Vitamin E, Magnesium Potassium Aspartic acid (we call it the MKA combo), and powerful digestive aids to help get the most out of your show project. The first part of the EXERx-LOX formula centers around wheat germ technology. Wheat Germ products have received much attention over the past year due to their potential ability to help animals better utilize oxygen by aiding in the overall respiratory systems health. Clinical studies have suggested the natural compounds in Wheat germ products will increase oxygen utilization during exercise and also improve glycogen storage in your animal’s muscles. In other words, by offering EXERx-LOX to your animals, it will help provide sufficient oxygen at the cellular level to help minimize muscle catabolism (break down of muscle) due to stress placed on the animal. It should also help in maximizing exercise performance and minimize the muscle recuperation cycle, thus permitting maximum muscle anabolism (growth), which will allow the animal to express its full genetic potential. To further combat stress we added three key ingredients. Clinical research demonstrates when these three are added together in specific amounts, they get into the blood and travel to the cells of the body where the nutrients penetrate the cell wall and enter directly into the cell’s energy cycle. Two of these products are minerals, Potassium and Magnesium, and one is an amino acid, Aspartic acid. Their metabolic functions are listed below: Magnesium – Most of the magnesium contained in the body is located in muscle and soft tissue, 1% is in extra cellular fluids, and the remainder in the skeleton. Magnesium is essential for all biosynthetic processes including carbohydrate use, energy -dependent membrane transport processes, and the transmission of genetic code. More than 300 enzymes (of a total 1,500) are known to be activated by magnesium. Free intracellular magnesium is thought to control cellular metabolism by modulating rate-limiting enzymes. Extra cellular magnesium is critical to the maintenance of electrical potentials of nerve and muscle membranes. Potassium – is the principal intracellular cation with a concentration inside the cell 30 times more than in the extra cellular water. This small extra cellular quantity is very important to the transmission of nerve impulses, and the control of skeletal muscle contraction. Aspartic Acid – this is a non-essential amino acid synthesized in the body from the amino acid glutamate and vitamin b6 as a cofactor. It has an important function in the urea cycle (the body’s method of ammonia release). Aspartic acid can also enter the energy producing Krebs’s of TCA cycle. The above two functions of aspartic acid are believed to be the prime effect of aspartic acid in increasing energy. Research has demonstrated that aspartic acid can potentially stimulate the immune system and may protect against free radical formation. Wheat germ products are know to contain naturally high levels of aspartic acid. EXERx-LOX is the first product to offer these three products in such a combination to the livestock show industry. Another key amino acid included in EXERx-LOX is L-Glutamine. It is the most abundant amino acid in the animal’s body. Glutamine has been used in hospitals for years to speed recovery and maintain muscle mass in cases of medical distress, and has been recently embraced as a supplement for athletic animals. Because the animals muscle cells suck up so much glutamine, EXERx-LOX has been fortified with the highest quality of Glutamine (human grade material) possible to help your animals improve their glutamine muscle reserves. As a result, research has demonstrated that water and glycogen stores are often enhanced, potentially producing what some call a "cell-volumizing" effect. Volumizing your animal’s muscle cells with Glutamine, along with the highly digestible carbohydrates included in EXERx-LOX will potentially cause them to hold more water which may help your animals sustain improvements in muscle mass during times of stress. In this way, glutamine reduces protein destruction by its cell-volumizing effect in liver, and probably muscle cells as well. That means the best time to offer glutamine to any animal is when its body is particularly hard-hit or stressed, which is why EXERx-LOX was designed. Examples are after exercising an animal, hauling, holding, during extreme temperature changes, and/or any other times of distress. Some scientists speculate that supplementing with glutamine at these times keeps your animals firing on all cylinders for a long period before a drop in performance and immune function occurs. Additionally, low glutamine levels increase the risk of infection. When this happens, it puts the skids on any animal’s muscle growth. Another key ingredient in EXERx-LOX is Vitamin E. This vitamin is becoming one of the best know vitamins with antioxidant properties for both humans and animals. The benefits of Vitamin E have been greatly emphasized due to its critical role in many biological functions. Vitamin E is known to provide the first line of defense in protecting the integrity of body organs, tissues, and cell membranes from damage caused by biological oxidations (STRESS). Vitamin E is crucial for:
In otherwords, Vitamin E acts as a free radical scavenger by preventing highly unstable free radicals from attacking the polyunsaturated fatty acids of cell membranes. This helps allow the animals to stay healthy and clicking on all cylinders including maintaining or supporting muscle mass growth. Now that we know the importance of offering Vitamin E to animals in periods of stress, let’s discuss the different sources currently available. The most commonly available source of vitamin E used in animal feed is synthetic dl-alpha-tocopheryl acetate. An alternative natural form of stable vitamin E is d-alpha-tocopheryl acetate, which is derived from vegetable oil. Research has demonstrated that both natural-source vitamin E and synthetic vitamin E are absorbed widely in the body. However, after absorption, a protein in the liver recognizes the natural d-alpha-tocopherol and gives it priority over synthetic forms. The unrecognized forms of synthetic vitamin E are preferentially excreted. In addition, owing to this discriminatory process, d-alpha-tocopherol, the natural form, is retained better and for longer periods in the body compared to the synthetic form. The bioavailability (available for use by the animals body) is approximately 2:1 for natural-source vitamin E over synthetic vitamin E. This is the reason we use the Nature d-alpha-tocopherol in EXERx-LOX. Another significant ingredient in EXERx-LOX is Brewer’s yeast, also known as saccharomyces cerevisiae. Brewer’s yeast provides a ready, dependable, and natural food source of high quality proteins, mineral and vitamins. Brewer’s yeast is one of the best natural sources of B vitamins (including Thiamine, Roboflavin, Niacin, Pyridoxine, Pantothenic Acid, Biotin, Choline, Inositol, Folic Acid, and Paraminobenzoic Acid). Each apparently fulfills a vital function in the body, but all work as co-enzymes involved in energy production by converting carbohydrates into glucose to supply the body’s cells with energy. They are also important in the correct metabolism of fats and proteins. Brewer’s yeast also contains amino acids and a selection of minerals including chromium, phosphorus, potassium and calcium. Chromium is an essential trace mineral that is found in significant quantities in Brewer’s yeast. Chromium has been proven to be important for the action of insulin, thus enabling sugar to enter the cells and the production of energy to take place. Fats, mostly triglycerides which are the true or "neutral" fats, occur in modest amounts in dried yeast. However, this fat contains mild levels of natural anti-oxidant properties. As you can see Brewer’s yeast is packed full of natural nutrients to help aid in stress relief. Premier doesn’t stop here. We also have included a natural source of key Omega fatty acids. Omega fatty acids (omega 3 and 6’s) are somewhat new to the animal nutrition world. They are highly used in pet foods but are relatively expensive to use in everyday animal production diets. In our opinion (which is based on scientific research), they are too good to be without. In typical cases these fatty acids are what we call essential fatty acids. One of their main roles is as a structural component of all cell membranes. Research also links EFA’s to improving the action of insulin, and enhancing the oxygen use and energy transformation required to optimize performance. Top nutritionists agree Omega Fatty acids may be anabolic, anti-catabolic, anti-inflammatory, and good for the general health of your animal. Rounding out this unique anti-catabolic formula is an ingredient to help support the general health of the animals gut. Premier Nutrion has fortified EXERx-LOX with Poly and Oligosaccharides and Probiotics- Several years of large scale studies in Europe testing a new product called Fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS), has shown that at least equal results in performance can be obtained by feeding FOS without using standard antibiotic additives. FOS is a highly soluble spray-dried powder form of inulin from chicory. It contains a mixture of oligosaccharides and polyaccharides made of fructose units linked together. FOS, when used properly, can provide a valuable alternative to the use of antibiotics due to its inhibitory action against intestinal pathogens. Most important, however, is the incidence and severity of intestinal disorders is substantially reduced. This particularly comes in handy when stressing your animals, which is when you tend to see an increase in intestinal disorders such as scouring. As you can see, EXERx-LOX is not just another product on the market to help the animal breathe better. EXERx-LOX contains numerous scientifically proven ingredients to help animals feel better, thus, maximizing their genetic potential. All of this is offered in one highly palatable product that is cost effective. What you have come to expect from Premier Nutrition. How Do I Order EXERx-LOX?
